Lela D Pilates & Fitness Education and Training is designed to take care of all your Pilates fitness and Group fitness education needs. Not only does Lela have the most up-to-date BCRPA Trainer of Fitness Leaders (TFL) and Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) certificates in her disciplines, she holds a Certificate in Health and Wellness from Simon Fraser University. With over 25 years of experience, Lela is committed to developing industry leaders and holds herself to the strictest Provincial and National requirements for certifications and knowledge, so that you can rest easy while you take on your new fitness career adventure. My Philosophy on Fitness I believe that Exercise is for everyone, therefore my philosophy is simple: I teach how to teach—not just what to teach, to help you develop into a leader in the community that will inspire and motivate your participants to adopt a healthy & active lifestyle and come back to your class week after week. My Philosophy on Pilates Pilates is beneficial for everyone, from the deconditioned beginner to the elite athlete and I believe it needs to be more available at a grass roots level. In the BCRPA Pilates Fitness module I focus on the classic Pilates method. Classical Pilates is rhythmic, fluid and focused, connecting one movement to the next to build strength, flexibility and endurance to produce a uniformed development of the body. My training focuses on the classical sequential order of exercises linked by a seamless flow through transitions that makes Pilates so very effective for everyone.
