About me: I'm a writer and historian. I live in Stuttgart, Germany, with my family. I started doing research about Joseph Pilates after my Pilates instructor had been telling us about his life during a Pilates mat class. Even though I found out, that some of the myths she had told us about Joe, were not quite true, the actual evidence of his life and work turned out to be just as exciting. So I spent two wonderful years doing research about Joe and created this book.
