Art Of Pilates
Pilates is relatively new practice: created just before the end of the 19th century, it was revolutionary in the focus on posture, breathing, muscle lengthening, and allover strength. In the years since, it has been tweaked and reinterpreted, modified and changed world over, but the core teachings remain the same.
Lifelong fitness lover, and trainer of over fifteen years, Belinda Green has watched Pilates morph styles and grow in popularity since it first gained traction in Australia in the late 1990’s. She saw it begin to incorporate equipment, like the Pilates reformer; be incorporated into circuit training, and even used to assist in sports injury and rehabilitation. A longtime devotee of the practice herself, in 2014 she decided to trade in her personal training business to open a studio dedicated only to Pilates.
Bright, boutique, and intimate; the Art of Pilates studio is all about achieving exactly that mastering the challenging yet rewarding practice of Pilates. Belinda deliberately keeps her classes small (you can expect a maximum of 5 people in each class) as to keep a sharp eye on all of her clients, and optimise their experience and results. With a comprehensive offering of everything from one on one sessions to small group classes; Belinda stands alone as a unique, one stop shop for all formats of Pilates practice.
As founder Joseph Pilates once said, “In 10 sessions you will feel the difference. In 20 sessions you will see the difference. In 30 sessions you will have a whole new body.”
