There was another passion Joe inherited from his father: his passion for boxing. The book goes into the detail of this and the influences that led to his second half of his life. It was so different from the first half: In Germany and England he had constantly moved, changing houses, cities, occupation... When he opened his studio in New York he finally settled down. He had found his fate and he stayed.
I'd love to travel back in time to his studio just once as a client - though I'm afraid he might throw me out, because I'm not very good at picking up cues. But I think it would still be worth it: just to see him and Clara teaching!
